sudden boredom.
studying sucked.
i finally had enough of econs and took a break,
and, not managing to find anything to do (that is unrelated to studying),
i resorted to read
kennysia's archives.
pathetic, i know.
but
this post made me realise that Chinese is actually very much like singing, ain't it?
like you know how those words that have the same intonation have to change one of them so that it don't sound, hmm, weird? monotonous?
something like that.
words like 点点滴滴。
the two 点s have to have different tones so that it won't sound weird.
but both the 滴s sound the same though.
must be that the person realised the intonation as a whole sounded okay
so he left it at that.
haha.
okay,
i was being bored.
and for those who actually went to visit the article,
the paragraph that made me think ( and laugh out at the same time) was:
"This is a dish with a fun name called Chee Cheong Fun. Chee Cheong in Mandarin means 'Go clubbing'. So this dish sounds like 'Go clubbing very fun'. In reality its just some boring prawns wrapped by very thin steamed skins. Nothing fancy about it."
funny right?
or maybe i am just easily amused.
:P
in other news,
i am feeling terrible these few days.
don't be surprised to see/hear me bawling my eyes out suddenly.
i hate PMS.
